Last night at work started out okay; some former employees I once worked with came into the restaurant to have a couple of drinks. We talked for awhile as I didn't have a real table of customers for two hours into my 4:00 o'clock shift. At around 4:30 Justin, scheduled to serve yesterday evening, explains to the manager how he "took Tanner's bar tending shift" and how "Brandon (another manager) forgot to change it in the book."
Why is this bad? Two reasons: 1) It forces two servers to take care of the restaurant and 2) It forces ME to stay LATER!
We ended up getting slammed busy with a 35 top reservation and I didn't leave until 10:45... Essentially, I was at work for 6 and a half hours and walked out with 20 bucks. What do I have to say? Fuck. That. Shit.
Meghan, the manager, was a complete thundercunt about the situation too. I've called her a shitty scheduler to her face; she doesn't like me too much... this is the reasons she's a shitty scheduler- because we didnt' have enough people on to handle the volume of the party.
Okay- I guess I've ranted enough at 9:00 A.M.
Enjoy the day, pretties!
